ACTIVITY THEME
Bali Barista Competition 2013 is competition of making coffee which is started from coffee seed and processed into a cup of delicious and interesting appearance of coffee made by barista. This coffee can persuade coffee lovers to come and enjoy the different sensation of a coffee.
This event will be divided into two rounds, namely semifinal round and final. In final round, there will be many entertainments for all audiences and participant. There also will be door prize for the lucky ones.

- Participants need to fulfill (complete and correct) the reservation form of Bali Barista Competition 2013. download here
- This form can be downloaded through online in website or here and send it back through e-mail sales@balibaristacompetition.com by enclosing the copy of identity (KTP or SIM that still active), copy of barista certificate, the latest photo and copy of curriculum vitae
- The qualified participants will get confirmation letter of joining event through e-mail in one week period. This confirmation letter will be used as the legalization of joining the event.

c. Reservation Period
Participants need to submit the complete reservation form and enclosures as :copy of identity, and copy of barista certificate. The participants need to send it back 14 days before the Bali Barista Competition 2013 is started.

11-16 april (payment)
p/s: after confirmation, all participant that have passed the qualification must transfer IDR 300.000 as registration fee to Bali Barista Competition 2013 official Bank account!

If the participants (individual or represent company) cannot submit the complete reservation form (enclosure included) in period given, but the participants have will to join the competition, it is a must to send pronouncement letter with clear signature of individual or company to Bali Barista Competition 2013, it also can be sent through e-mail.

TEMA KEGIATAN
Bali Barista Competition 2013 merupakan sebuah acara kompetisi pembuatan kopi yang berawal dari sebuah biji yang diolah sedemikian rupa hingga berubah menjadi secangkir kopi dengan rasa yang nikmat dan dengan penampilan yang menarik yang dibuat oleh para barista, sehingga sehingga dapat membangitkan minat dari para pecinta kopi untuk menikmati sensasi dari secangkir kopi tersebut.
Acara ini akan dibagi kedalam 2 babak yaitu babak semifinal dan final dimana pada babak final akan diadakan berbagai acara yang dapat menghibur para peserta maupun dari para penonton. Pada babak final juga diadakan undian doorprize untuk para penonton yang beruntung.

- Form ini dapat di-unduh secara online pada website atau disini dan mengirimkan kembali formulir pendaftaran tersebut melalui e-mail sales@balibaristacompetition.com , dengan melampirkan foto kopi data diri (seperti: KTP; SIM, yang masa berlakunya masih aktif s/d 1 bulan ke depan), foto kopi sertifikat Barista, pas foto terbaru dan foto kopi CV.
- Semua peserta yang berhasil memenuhi kualifikasi, akan mendapatkan surat konfirmasi keikutsertaan yang akan dikirimkan melalui e-mail dalam jangka waktu 1 minggu, sebagai tanda bukti yang harus ditunjukkan pada pertandingan.

The Meaning of Bali Barista Competition 2013 Logo

The Meaning
A logo has a paramount meaning for an event because a logo will be a brand image of a company or group that will make an event. From a logo will be known the vision and mission of the planned event. The meanings of Bali Barista Competition 2013 logo are:
· Tree
Tree is a symbol of prosperity, where it is expected that the Bali Barista Competition 2013 will give many experiences, knowledge, and prosperities in portfolio business.
· Combination of cup and branch
These symbols represent of growth into the highest top and create elegant shape. It is an expectation that this event can achieve the highest top and create an art that can be contained into a cup which creates a taste and interesting appearance as a coffee.
· Coffee seed
It is a symbol of a intelligent soul, art, belief and togetherness. In making a coffee, those four important factors must be exist and applied, and in making a coffee it needs more than one seed of coffee. It just likes Bali Barista Competition 2013, where the intelligent in planning, soul of art in conducting, and belief that the event can be success and togetherness from all team of Hotel Administration B grade 2009, and also participants and Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Nusa Dua Bali.
· Soucer
Soucer reflects root of a tree where the root basically is plan of event. If there is good and structured plan, the event must be success and run smoothly.
From the meanings above, we create a theme “It’s about Us, Art and Taste”. Through this theme, we come into togetherness in making competition, present any abilities of ourselves and present them into knowledge with art values and also a great taste which is covered into an event of Bali Barista Competition 2013.
Tagline of this event is "Brewing is an Art", where Brewing is a process of making coffee which comes from seeds of coffee into coffee drink to be enjoyed.
Then, it can be concluded from explanation above that we as the committee of Bali Barista Competition 2013, invite to all Barista to make masterpiece of coffee seeds becomes a cup of coffee with great taste and creative art which is amazing to be enjoyed by everyone. Moreover, this event is expected that from a strong plan can be developed becomes wonderful event in Bali, generally in Indonesia.

Makna
Sebuah logo mempunyai arti penting bagi suatu acara karena sebuah logo akan menjadi brand image dari suatu perusahaan atau kelompok yang akan mengadakan acara. Dari sebuah logo akan dapat dilhat visi dan misi dari acara yang akan dilaksanakan.Adapun arti dari logo Bali Barista Competition 2013 ini adalah ;
· Pohon
Pohon yang merupakan symbol dari kesuburan, dimana diharapkan bahwa acara Bali Barista Competition 2013 ini akan memberikan banyak pengalaman, pengetahuan, relasi yang subur dalam portofolio bisnis.
· Kombinasi cangkir dan ranting
Merupakan symbol dari suatu pertumbuhan yang akan mencapai puncak tertinggi dan dapat membentuk wadah yang anggun. Merupakan suau pegharapan bahwa acara ini akan dapat mencapai puncak tertinggi dan melahirkan suatu seni yang dapat ditampung disuatu wadah yaitu cangkir dengan melahirkan suatu rasa dan penampilan yang menarik yang berupa kopi.
· Biji Kopi
Merupakan symbol dari sebuah kecermatan, jiwa yang seni, kepercayaan dan kebersamaan, dimana dalam membuat suatu kopi harus memiliki 4 faktor penting diatas dan dalam membuat kopi diperlukan lebih dari 1 biji. Sama seperti acara Bali Barista Competition 2013 akan dapat tercipta jika ada suatu kecermatan dalam perencanaan, jiwa yang seni dalam pelaksanaannya, kepercayaan bahwa acara ini akan sukses, dan kebersamaan dari semua team Administrasi Perhotelan B angkatan 2009 serta para undangan dan Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Nusa Dua Bali.
· Soucer
Soucer yang mencerminkan pondasi atau akar dari sebuah pohon dimana pondasi tersebut adalah perencanaan dari suatu acara. Karena dengan perencanaan yang matang dan sudah terstruktur dengan baik maka acara ini pasti akan sukses dan berjalan dengan baik.
Dari makna diatas, kami mengambil tema “It’s About Us, Art and Taste” dimana kita disini menjunjung kebersamaan dalam membuat kompetisi, menjunjung kemampuan yang ada di dalam diri dan menyalurkannya dalam sebuah pengetahuan dengan unsur – unsur seni serta cita rasa yang menakjubkan yang dikemas dalam sebuah acara kompetisi Bali Barista Competition 2013.
Tagline dari acara ini adalah “Brewing is An Art” dimana Brewing merupakan suatu proses pembuatan minuman kopi yang berasal dari biji menjadi sebuah minuman yang dapat dinikmati.
Dapat dismpulkan dari hal - hal diatas bahwa, kami sebagai panitia Bali Barista Competition 2013 mengajak para Barista untuk dapat membuat sebuah karya seni dari biji kopi menjadi secangkir kopi yang mengandung cita rasa dan seni kreatif yang menakjubkan untuk dapat dinikmati oleh semua orang. Begitu pula acara ini diharapkan dari perencanaan yang kuat dapat berkembang menjadi acara yang mengagumkan di Bali maupun Indonesia.

BALI BARISTA COMPETITION 2013
STP Nusa Dua Bali will host a very prestigious event once again held by the student of Hospitality Administration Program 2009 Class B. The ideas have sprung up to organize an event that very unique and different from the events that have been held, which originally was derived from a huge curiosity to uncover the lifestyle of community generally.
The event will be held in beginning of May 2013, raised the concept of a competition. This competition is different from event that ever held previously by STP Nusa Dua Bali. This time, the student will hold a competition for professional coffee maker that is generally called Barista with event name Bali Barista Competition 2013.
Here in Bali Barista Competition 2013, all Barista Competition are welcomed to show their professionalism and show their best skill to make a best category coffee with high class art. The barista should be able to combine the technical knowledge of the tools used with skill and artistic value of making the perfect cup of brewed coffee. The three types of coffee are espresso, cappuccino, and a special drink that is the creation of each participant. Besides barista match, there will be also product knowledge about coffee. The event will be divided into two days that first day is the semifinal and second day is the final. Bali Barista Competition 2013 will be held at Nusa Dua Tourism Institute (STP Nusa Dua Bali).
